About Us

ANAM Georgia is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth development organization based in Tucker, DeKalb County, Georgia.

We provide free, community-based programs for children and youth ages 3–17 that integrate music and arts education with academic support, social-emotional learning, mentorship, leadership development, and family engagement.

Our primary service area is DeKalb County, with students also participating from surrounding Metro Atlanta communities.

Our Mission

ANAM Georgia empowers children and youth through free, community-based programs that integrate music, academic support, social-emotional learning, mentorship, and leadership development to help young people thrive in school, family, and community life.

Our Vision

We envision thriving communities where every child and young person has access to safe, creative, culturally responsive learning environments that nurture confidence, academic growth, leadership, belonging, and lifelong opportunity.

Our Approach

Positive Youth Development

Our work is grounded in Positive Youth Development, an evidence-informed approach that focuses on young people’s strengths, relationships, skills, and potential.

We create opportunities for young people to:

  • Build competence and confidence
  • Develop positive relationships
  • Practice responsibility and leadership
  • Express themselves creatively
  • Discover their strengths
  • Contribute to their families and communities

Music and the arts provide an engaging pathway for young people to experience these opportunities.

Our Story

ANAM Georgia grew from a commitment to making music and learning opportunities accessible to young people.

The Agape National Academy of Music was founded in Liberia in 2008 and has served more than 1,200 children and youth.

ANAM Georgia was established in 2023 to bring that commitment to accessible, community-based learning to children and families in Georgia.

Today, ANAM Georgia operates as an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with programs designed around the needs of children, youth, and families in our communities.

While music remains at the heart of our work, our purpose has expanded.

We use music as a pathway to help young people build confidence, academic engagement, social-emotional skills, leadership, and meaningful community connections.

Help us build a lasting legacy of empowerment through music and education.
